2a, Laide also known as The Two A's Cottage is a sensitively restored croft house which is situated in an elevated position overlooking the crofting community of Laide with a panoramic view northwards over Gruinard Bay to the Summer Isles and the most northerly peaks on the Scottish mainland.

On the inside The Two A's Cottage offers a large bright and comfortable sitting room which takes full advantage of the ever changing view, three bedrooms to accommodate six adults, two bathrooms and a comprehensively equipped kitchen/dining room.

Our regular visitors include naturalists, walkers, painters and golfers and we are encouraged by the warmth of their comments on the comforts and qualities offered by the house.

The house is heated by night storage heaters augmented by electric radiators in the bedrooms and the water is heated by immersion heater. The sitting room has an open fire and in addition to colour television with digital reception, there is a video and a radio within a mini stereo system. The bedrooms comprise one double and two twin bedded rooms and the double room has a wash hand basin. All the beds are provided with electric blankets. The bathrooms are both fully equipped with that on the ground floor also having a shower. The kitchen equipment consists of an electric cooker, a microwave oven, a fridge/freezer, a dish washer, an automatic washer/drier and an electric mixer.

Tenants taking pets should add Ł15 to the weekly rentals quoted above. Electricity, coal and use of the telephone are covered by a self billing invoice with electricity chargeable at the rates applied by Scottish Hydro Electric, coal charged at Ł3.00 per day and telephone at local and national rates.
